Security agencies decrypt IM founder Riyaz Bhatkal's conversation

New Delhi, Nov 8 (IBNS): The Al Qaeda has developed a cell in Uttar Pradesh, Indian Mujahideen (IM) founder Riyaz Bhatkal told his top-most lieutenant in conversations, media reports said.

The conversation was decrypted by security officials.

According to reports, Riyaz Bhatkal is believed to be in Karachi in Pakistan and keen on merging the Mujahideen with the Al Qaeda.

The Al Qaeda had announced a branch for the subcontinent in September this year and vowed to organize attacks in India and other countries in South Asia.

Sources said much of this was concluded from internet chats between Riyaz Bhatkal and his lieutenants. The conversations were deciphered with the help of the US.

These details were recently shared by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in a Delhi court as part of a chargesheet against 11 suspected IM operatives.
