Mumbai, Sept 21 (IBNS): A Mumbai court on Monday extended the judicial custody of key accused in the Sheena Bora murder case-Indrani Mukherjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai- till Oct 5.

They were produced before the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court via video-conferencing.

The Maharashtra government has recently decided to transfer the murder case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The state government has said that  there are aspects to the case which may require probing of financial links.

Indrani Mukerjea was arrested on Aug 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, her daughter from an earlier relationship, in 2012.
