Sonia declares assets worth over Rs.9.28 cr

New Delhi, Apr 2 (IBNS): Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi has assets worth over Rs. 9.28 crore, an affidavit revealed which she submitted along with her nomination papers, filed for the Lok Sabha polls from Rae Bareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
According to the affidavit, she has given a personal loan of Rs 9 lakh to her son Rahul Gandhi on Oct 13, 2013.
 
The Congress supremo has Rs 85,000 cash in hand and  over Rs.Rs 66 lakh of deposits in banks. 
 
She has also invested Rs 11,50,100 in security bonds and Rs.82 lakh in HDFC mutual funds.
 
According to the affidavit, Sonia  has postal savings worth Rs 45 lakh, family jewellery and valuable things of Rs 62 lakh. The total declared value of her savings and other movable assets stand at Rs 2,81,50,387.73.
 
Among the immovable assets, she has declared an ancestral property in Italy worth Rs. 19.90 lakh besides land valued at Rs. 4.86 crore in Deramandi village, and another land worth Rs. 1.40 crore in Sultanpur village.
 
In 2009, Sonia  had declared her assets over Rs. 1.37 crore.
