Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi mourn death of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son

New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): Congress President Rahul Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday mourned the death of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son.

According to reports, Siddaramaiah’s eldest son Rakesh died at Brussels city in Belgium.

He reportedly died at Belgium University Hospital.

"Congress President, Smt. Sonia Gandhi has expressed shock & deep anguish over the passing away of Shri Rakesh Siddaramaiah," Congress tweeted.

"Extending her condolences to his father and Karnataka Chief Minister, Shri Siddaramaiah, Smt. Gandhi said that she and the entire Congress Party stood with him and his family in this moment of loss.," the party tweeted.

"Smt. Gandhi prayed for the peace of the departed soul and hoped that the almighty gives strength to the bereaved family," he said.

The Office of RG tweeted: "My heartfelt condolences to Siddaramaiahji on the passing away of his son.My thoughts &prayers are with his family in this time of grief."
