Sonu Nigam now posts video of azaan from his home

Mumbai, Apr 23 (IBNS): Singer Sonu Nigam has sparked off another controversy as he has now shared a video on social media in which azaan could be heard.

The video has been  presumably taken from the singer's house.

The duration of the video is little over 2 minutes.

"Goodmorning India," Nigam tweeted with the video.

Amid controversy over his remark on morning 'azaan', Sonu Nigam on Wednesday offered to apologise if his posts were found to be anti-Muslim.

He even shaved off his head.

The singer, who is known for singing several popular Bollywood songs, had accepted a challenge by a West Bengal cleric's fatwa offering Rs 10 lakhs to shave off his head.

"Today at 2pm Aalim will come to my place, and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulavi," the singer tweeted.

He had earlier said: "And dear Everyone, for those who are tainting my Tweets anti Muslim, tell me 1 place where I have said anything related, & I'll apologize."

Nigam with a series of tweets recently sparked a controversy when he said he hated being woken up in morning by the sound of azaan calling it "forced religiousness" since he is not a Muslim.

"God bless everyone. I'm not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India," he asked in his tweet which triggered a huge online reaction.

"And by the way Mohammed did not have electricity when he made Islam.. Why do I have to have this cacophony after Edison?" he asked.

"I don't believe in any temple or gurudwara using electricity.. To wake up people who don't follow the religion . Why then..? Honest? True?" he tweeted.

"Gundagardi hai bus...[this is just rowdyism]" he posted.

While many supported his opinion, many on Twitter ridiculed the Indian Idol 9 judge for being woken up to his songs forcefully owing to blaring of loudspeakers.
