Supreme Court scraps all mining leases in Goa
New Delhi, Feb 7 (IBNS): In an order which will be effective after March 15, the Supreme Court on Wednesday scrapped all mining licenses in Goa, media reports said.
The top court has said that fresh mining licenses will be given via auction after the environment nod.
A Goa Police Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing the INR 35,000-crore mining scam. A charge sheet too was earlier filed against former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and others.
