Supreme Court to hear review petitions filed in Rafale case asap
New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Thursday said it will hear as soon as possible the review petitions filed in the Rafale case filed by several people.
"We will hear as soon as possible the review petitions filed in the case filed by many in the Rafale matter," the court said.
Senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Thursday mentioned before the top court and requested it to hear the petition seeking review of its verdict on Rafale deal.
To this, the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi said he will do something for the listing of the case as special bench is to be constituted for it.
Bhushan in his petition stated that several facts have come to light after the judgement was reserved in the matter last year, and the SC should hear the case and the judgement must be recalled.
Bhushan sought that an oral hearing in the open court to the petitioners’ should be assigned as the facts and circumstances of the case sufficiently necessitate, he said in his review petition.
