Sushma Swaraj meets Japanese PM Abe, concludes visit to Asian nation

Tokyo, Mar 30 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday ended his visit to Japan and departed from Tokyo city.

"Sayonara! EAM @SushmaSwaraj departs from Tokyo after her first official visit to Japan for the 9th #IndiaJapan Strategic Dialogue. Ambassador @SujanChinoy and @MofaJapan_en Ambassador Hideaki Hoshi see off EAM at Narita Airport. #KonnichiwaNamaste," the official Twitter page of  Embassy of India in Japan posted.

She, earlier in the day, met met Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.

Speaking on the meeting, India's MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: "EAM @SushmaSwaraj called on Japanese Prime Minister @AbeShinzo today morning in Tokyo. EAM conveyed the greetings of PM @narendramodi to PM Abe. PM Abe said that traditional friendship are characterised by heart-to-heart bonds and blessed with a huge potential for growth."

Sushma Swaraj arrived in Tokyo on a three-day visit.

Swaraj attended the 9th India-Japan Foreign Minister’s Strategic Dialogue in Tokyo.
