Srinagar, Aug 31 (IBNS): Terrorists have adducted family members of at least five policemen from south Kashmir, media reports said on Friday.

The kidnappings of five family members, which police sources told NDTV is a pressure tactic by the terrorists, come after security forces conducted multiple raids and arrested relatives of some terrorists in the area.

According to reports, terrorists raided the houses of policemen in  Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam districts as they kidnapped members of their families.

Among the kidnapped are the brother of a policeman posted in Srinagar and the son of another policeman who works as a cook at police training centre, reported NDTV.

A senior police officer told the news channel that they are working to ensure the safety and release of the family members of policemen.
