TMC attacks Amit Shah, alleges Sahara links

New Delhi, Dec 1 (IBNS) A day after BJP chief Amit Shah attacked Mamata Banerjee in a Kolkata rally over Saradha chit fund scam and terrorism links, the Trinamool Congress hit back outside Parliament in New Delhi alleging links between Shah and the Sahara Group.

Raising the issue inside and outside Parliament, TMC said the Sahara Chief was arrested and a red diary was recovered where they heard that names of Modi ji and Amit Shah featured.

TMC MPs held a red diary on Sahara to protest and said Shah's name figured there. TMC MP Sudip Bandopadhayay said the diary recovered in November had name of Amit Saha and another was mentioned as NM (indicating Narendra Modi).

The TMC MPs protesting outside Parliament demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged links of Amit Shah with the Sahara group whose chief Subrata Roy is now languishing behind bars.

TMC MPs also stormed the well of the House in Rajya Sabha over the issue.

They also shouted slogans in Lok Sabha and demanded explanation from the Prime Minister. TMC also demanded suspension of Question Hour over the issue.

TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said the PM should explain the content of the diary.

Meanwhile, TMC tweeted against the BJP and its rally of Sunday saying: "Those who come to Bengal as migratory birds, address a rally and go back to Delhi will never win here"

TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee said: "If there is unbiased investigation into Sarada scam, Mamata Banerjee will support it."

He also attacked the costs of PM Modi's foreign trips.

"Our PM flies in private jets, goes abroad and changes wardrobe frequently. India does not need a Foreign Minister because our PM himself spends 5 out of six months abroad," he said.
