Two persons arrested while selling off elephant tusk
Udupi, Mar 13(UNI) The CID sleuths of the Forest department have arrested two persons in the town, when they were allegedly trying to sell off an Elephant tusk weighing over two and half Kgs.
According to official sources, the accused Poonacha and Ganesh, the residents of Kodagu district, were allegedly trying to sell the elephant tusk, were trapped by the Forest officials, in the guise of buyers.
The accused were produced before a local court, and were sent to judicial custody, the sources added.
