Uncle Ram Gopal Yadav writes open letter to SP workers in support of Akhilesh

Lucknow, Oct 23 (IBNS): In a turn of events, Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav on Sunday wrote a letter to his colleagues saying the future of the party lay with incumbent Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

In the letter addressed to his fellow party workers, Ram Gopal Yadav stated that he wants the state government to be formed under the leadership of his nephew Akhilesh Yadav.

The party last week cleared all rumours and said Akhilesh Yadav will be the chief ministerial candidate of the party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections.

Earlier rumours suggested that UP's incumbent chief minister Akhilesh had lost his father Mulayam Singh Yadav's confidence.

Reports also suggested that Akhilesh could be sidelined during the election campaign.
