Lucknow, Dec 18 (IBNS) After Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple spent twenty minutes, stuck in an elevator at the Vidhan Bhawan on Friday, three engineers were accused of negligence and suspended from their duties, according to media reports.

Principal Secretary (home), Devashish Panda was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times, "We are going to order an inquiry into the matter to find out as to what exactly happened and take action accordingly. Prima facie it seems to have been a case of a technical snag."

The daily further stated that the event took place after the CM and his wife took a ride to reach the ground floor after attending a programme at the Vidhan Bhawan.

The elevator's doors were jammed and Yadav, his wife and his security guard had to wait for 20 minutes before someone finally rescued them.
