UP govt won't discriminate on religious grounds: Yogi Adityanath

New Delhi, Mar 21 (IBNS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the newly elected Uttar Pradesh government won't discriminate people on religious grounds when it comes to matter of development.

Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's motto of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' (development for all), Adityanath, during his address in Lok Sabha, said "My government will be for everyone. We will work for development of all sections and castes."

The newly appointed CM of the most populous state in India did not spare the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance that fought in the election against BJP, in the lower house.

Referring to both Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, he said that people of UP rejected those people who did not work.

A senior Congress leader, Mallikarjun Kharge quickly reacted to it and said: "Now you have become CM. You should maintain the dignity of this post of CM."

Adityanath, who is a five times MP from Gorakhpur constituency of UP, also met PM Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday.
