New Delhi, Feb 19 (IBNS): As President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined in their 2015 Joint Statement, the United States and India share the commitment for a secure, stable, and prosperous Afghanistan.
The leaders have repeatedly asserted the importance of a sustainable, inclusive, sovereign, and democratic political order in Afghanistan for the benefit of the entire region.

As part of this commitment, U.S. Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Laurel Miller led an interagency delegation to New Delhi, India from February 16 to 18 to continue high-level U.S.-India consultations on Afghanistan.

Deputy Special Representative Miller met with government officials, civil society, and political party leaders.

The consultations helped advance our shared commitment to regional cooperation on working toward a stable and prosperous Afghanistan.
