Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav meets UP Governor on Wednesday

| | Oct 26, 2016, at 07:05 pm
Lucknow, Oct 26 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has gone to meet the state's governor Ram Naik on Wednesday, according to media reports.

But why the CM has gone to meet the governor is not clear, reported NDTV.

Earlier in the day, the Samajwadi Party chief Shivlal Singh Yadav had expelled a minister from the Samjwadi Party, Pawan Pandey, for six years, for disciplinary issue, according to media reports.

Reportedly, Pandey is said to be a Akhilesh Yadav loyalist.

Shivlal Singh Yadav, who was a cabinet minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government, was stripped of his portfolios recently by the CM.

While speculations are rife about the reason of the meeting, including the expelling of Pandey, more details are awaited.

The media reported earlier in the week that the BJP has asked Akhilesh government to prove his majority in the Uttar Pradesh assembly.
