Uttar Pradesh: Hindu-Muslim to celebrate Deepawali together

| @indiablooms | Nov 07, 2020, at 10:48 pm

Varanasi/UNI: To eradicate the darkness of terror in the world, the women of the ‘Muslim Women Foundation’ have taken a unique step.

They will be setting an example of unity by preparing and lightening ‘Diyas’ and spreading love and happiness in the world, this Deepawali.

The ‘Diyas’ are being prepared from cow-dung by the Muslim as well as Hindu women in the Parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Varanasi. The women named these diyas ‘Ramdeep’ and said that they will illuminate the festival of light in the name of Ram.

These pollution-free ‘Ramdeep’, will be seen in different colours and designs in the markets of Kashi.

Conveying the message of peace, goodwill, and harmony to the world, General Secretary of Muslim Women Foundation, Nazneen Bharatvanshi stated here on Saturday, “We want to finish bigotry from the society and strengthen the mutual brotherhood. The world needs peace and for that, every Indian, irrespective of any religion, needs to follow the ideals of Lord Ram, only then peace will prevail in the world.”

She added, “We request people to boycott Chinese products and buy Ramdeep and other products which are being made by locals.”

Appreciating this initiative of ‘Muslim Women Foundation’, Professor of BHU, Rajiv Srivastava said, “By making Ramdeep, these women are not only reducing religious fanaticism but are also sending a message to the world that instead of spreading hatred on the name of religion, one should try to spread love and peace.”
