Uttar Pradesh:Three sisters drown in Ganga in Mirzapur

Mirzapur, May 28 (UNI) Three sisters drowned while bathing in the Ganga river in the Jigna area of this district in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

According to the police, Dugauli village resident Kamal Pandey's daughters Anshika (14), Sandhya (12) and their cousin Babli (9) had gone to take bath in the river.

Babli started drowning after her leg slipped. In an attempt to rescue Babli, both Anshika and Sandhya also drowned in the deep water.

Some people reached the spot with boats but by then, all three had drowned.
