Vande Bharat will improve connectivity and spiritual tourism: PM Modi
New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the New Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi to Katra will not only improve the connectivity, but also contribute towards spiritual tourism.
He said the Vande Bharat train that was inaugurated between New Delhi to Maa Vaishno Devi, Katra on Thursday is a Navrartri Gift for the sisters and brothers of Jammu and also for the devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi.
Taking to microblogging site twitter PM Modi said, ''A Navratri gift for my sisters and brothers of Jammu as well as devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi! The New Vande Bharat Express from New Delhi to Maa Vaishno Devi, Katra will improve connectivity as well as spiritual tourism. Congratulations to everyone!''.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express train at a function here this morning.
The train will bring down the travel time between Delhi and Katra to eight hours from current 12 hours.
The high speed train will run on all days of the week except Tuesdays and its first commercial run will start from October 5.
Train number 22439 New Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express will depart from the New Delhi railway station at 0600 hrs to reach Katra at 1400 hrs. It will leave Katra at 1500 hrs the same day and reach New Delhi Railway station at 2300 hrs.
