Lucknow/UNI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday said the revision of the electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh will take place from November 1 in view of assembly polls due next year.

Addressing a press conference here, Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said new voters can enroll themselves from November 1 to 30.

He said, "The voters can enroll as new voters or change their constituency by registering themselves online too."

Shukla said from November 7 to 27, a special drive will be held to rectify the electoral rolls by accepting claims and objections.

He said from December 20 to January 4, disposal of the claims and objections would be carried out and the final voters list would be published on January 5.
