WB: Drone used for first time to track illegal poppy cultivation in Malda
According to reports, using a drone camera, hired from Kolkata Police, aerial surveillance of Kaliachak Block 3 area was done.
Police officials said that on the first day of surveillance, no illegal poppy cultivation was spotted at Govindarampur and Charbabupur areas on Saturday.
Senior police officials of the district said that such surveillance will be continued in the district during this season.
Malda district of West Bengal is infamous for FICN (Fake Indian Currency Notes) trafficking and illegal poppy cultivation.
