West Bengal: 1 killed in illegal mine crash

Kolkata/Asansol, Aug 26 (IBNS): At least one person was killed and three others were injured as an illegal mine collapsed at Asansol's Salanpur Police Station area in West Bengal on Friday, local media reports said.

According to reports, the accident took place while 4-5 people were mining at the area.

After rescuing all, locals sent them to local hospitals, where one of them- Kedarnath Tantubay- was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, neither local administration nor the Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has confirmed the news's authenticity so far.
