West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee congratulates Sheikh Hasina over polls victory

Kolkata, Dec 31 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday congratulated Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina over her victory in the general elections.

Polling was held on Sunday.

Congratulating the Bangladeshi leader, who returned to power for a straight third term, Banerjee tweeted: " Heartiest congratulations to Sheikh Hasina Ji on the victory in the Bangladesh General Election বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে জয়ের জন্য শেখ হাসিনা জি কে জানাই অভিনন্দন."

Awami League registered a massive victory in the polls.

This will be Awami League overall fourth term in office.
