West Bengal: Three killed in road accident in East Medinipur

Kolkata/UNI: At least three people were killed and eight sustained severe injuries when a city-bound private passenger bus collided head-on with a vegetable-laden truck in East Medinipur district of West Bengal early on Friday, police said.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital.

The Kolkata-bound bus was coming from Heria.

After hitting the vegetable-laden small truck, the bus slammed against some more Digha-bound vehicles.

The incident happened at around 7 AM, police added.
