Will fight to minimize unemployment, struggles in daily life: Congress candidate in Sreerampore Alok Ranjan Banerjee

Kolkata: In the triangular fight for West Bengal, Sanjukta Morcha-supported Indian National Congress (INC) candidate in Sreerampore Assembly seat in Hooghly district, Alok Banerjee, has set his focus is on two major issues of the state- unemployment and daily struggle of the lower-middle-class and poor people, which are mostly "unhighlighted" by the two derby sides- Trinamool Congress and BJP.

During election campaigns and door-to-door visits, the senior Congressman is promising to always be there with the people of Sreerampur as a 'local-boy'.

"If elected to power, we will work together with the allies of Sanjukta Morcha exactly as mentioned in our manifesto. We will focus on reducing unemployment and the daily struggle of the people as well as creating an industry-friendly environment. These important issues are mostly ignored in the past 10 years," Alok Ranjan Banerjee said.

Joining a campaign, the senior political and social activists said that he will always be with the INC.

"I was, I am and I will be with the Congress party- I can assure and promise that. It does not matter if we win or lose, I will never change my party," Banerjee said.

Congress candidate Alok Ranjan Banerjee is taking on TMC's two-time MLA Sudipta Roy and BJP's Kabir Sankar Bose in Sreerampur.

Election in the assembly constituency will be conducted on Apr 10 (Phase IV).
