Woman gang-raped in Andhra Pradesh, four held

Kakinada, Jul 8 (UNI) A woman sweeper of the municipal school in Ragampet area of this port city in Andhra Pradesh was allegedly gang-raped by four youth in the early hours of Monday, police said.

It was stated that on Sunday, her boyfriend took her on his motorcycle to his friends’ house under the pretext of inquiring the health of a patient.

Later, he along with three of his friends, who were fully drunk, gang-raped her.

Based on her complaint, the town police have registered a case and arrested the accused.

Accused were identified as Prudhvi (21) her boyfriend, Sai Kumar (19), Sai (20) and Shyam Kumar (21).

The victim was sent to government general hospital for medical examination and the accused were sent to judicial remand, police said.
