Yogi Adityanath asks UP Guv to remove minister OP Rajbhar

Lucknow, May 20 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked Governor Ram Naik to remove his cabinet minister OP Rajbhar, an estranged ally of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), media reports said.

Rajbhar, the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party chief, has criticised Adityanath for nearly a year.

Rajbhar had written a resignation letter last month.

The move by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister came a day after several exit polls predicted a thumping majority by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha polls, which ended on Sunday.

Adityanath became the Chief Minister after the BJP swept Uttar Pradesh in the state elections in 2017.
