Yogi Adityanath govt failed to maintain law and oprder in UP: Siddaramaiah

Belagavi/UNI: Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Friday alleged that there is no Law and Order in Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister Yogi Aditiyanath is running a 'Jungle Raj.'

Addressing a Press Conference here, Siddaramaiah alleged that women and minorities are not safe in UP.

Terming Uttar Pradesh is not an 'asset' of BJP, he added, "the rules of the nation are not applicable there, crime rate is on boom and police force is being misused." Let BJP take the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath if it has a little morality, he said.

The Congress leader further said, UP government is not allowing Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to meet the grieving family at Hathras whose girl wasgang raped and murdered brutally.

He said, BJP has completely failed in handling the flood situation as well the COVID-19 in the State. "Flood victims were not given complete compensation, the ruling BJP government has failed to get compensation to the state from the Central government, crores of rupees misappropriated in the name of handling the COVID-19. About Rs 2000 crore was misappropriated in purchasing the COVID-19 surgical and other equipments." he alleged.

Siddaramaiah claimed that during his tenure as Chief Minister of Karnataka not even a single cheque was bounced.
