Yogi govt not sincere to reform health sector: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Jun 20 (UNI) Blaming for inhuman nature of Yogi Adityanath government, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav here said that state government was not sincere to reform health sector, creating problem for the people. 

Yadav here on Thursday said that Yogi Adityanath government was ignoring plights of patients admitted in government hospitals.

There is shortage of medicines, infrastructure and basic facilities in state-run hospitals, he pointed out adding that even ambulances were not available for dying patients in rural areas.

He said that 108 Samajwadi ambulance service and 102 services for pregnant women were initiated in the Samajwadi Party government regime.

"The BJP government has ruined health services initiated in former SP government regime and the public is facing its adverse effect," he said.

He said that several times due to mismanagement in government hospitals, heated arguments occur between doctors and patients’ relatives but UP government does not pay any attention to improve the situation.
