Young Kashmir leader Mir Junaid appraises foreign ambassadors how Pakistan spews venom in Valley

Srinagar/IBNS: While India continued to reach out to the global community over its bold move of abrogating Article 370 in Kashmir last August, the Valley's young leader Mir Junaid led a delegation of 30 members for a meeting with 15 ambassadors from different countries and appraised them about the situation in Kashmir following the Centre's move.

Mir Junaid said his delegation apprised the foreign delegation on numerous issues like 'Pakistan, which leaves no stone unturned, in spreading radicalization upon the plank of religion" even as it stands exposed regionally, nationally and internationally.

He told the foreign delegates that "our security apparatus has been fighting a tedious task of keeping these Pak-sponsored terrorists at bay, and have been braving all odds to serve Kashmiris in particular and the nation in general."

He said: "Pakistan has no locus standi in our J&K, it's our country's internal matter. Pakistan should refrain from fiddling with it and should rather focus on  Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA & their dwindling economy."

The Modi government on Aug 5 scrapped Article 370 and 35A and bifurcated the terrorism-wracked Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories- Jammu and Kashmir with an assembly and a Buddhist-dominated Ladakh without an assembly.

The delegation informed the foreign ambassadors that the people of Jammu and Kashmir want to live a normal life of peace though "Pakistan does not allow the nation to do so."

The team informed the foreign delegation that internet ban was necessary to be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir to pre-empt rumor-mongering and consequent loss of lives.

Internet connection was banned in the region for a long period of time last year.

"Dynast politicians like Abdullah's, Mufti's, & Lone's who are responsible for the mess that we found ourselves in, should not be given any patronage by the dispensation at the centre.Rather, they should be held accountable for the graft & mal-practices that they have indulged in over the course of decades. Anti-graft agencies like ED, ACB & CBI, ought to be let loose upon them for good," he said.

Sixteen envoys from different countries, including the United States, visited Jammu and Kashmir for a two-day tour last week.

This will be the second visit by any foreign delegates to Jammu and Kashmir after it has lost its special status in August, 2019, following the scrapping of Article 370 by the Indian government.

In October, 2019, the government had allowed 23 lawmakers from the EU to visit Jammu and Kashmir though the entire trip was a private one.

The EU lawmakers' trip had infuriated the Opposition which was till then not allowed to enter Jammu and Kashmir.
