Airtel expands 4G footprint in Bengal, launches services in Baharampur

Baharampur, Aug 30 (IBNS): Bharti Airtel , a telecommunications services provider, on Tuesday launched its 4G services in Baharampur.

With this, Baharampur has become the third town in Bengal to have 4G mobile services.


Airtel 4G enables customer to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images.

Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles. Customers can enjoy Airtel 4G at the price of Airtel 3G with the option of choosing from a host of attractive tariff packs.  

Airtel 4G in Baharampur has been rolled out using dual spectrum bands of 2300 MHz (TD LTE) and 1800 MHz (FD LTE). The combination of TD LTE and FD LTE ensures higher network capacity, which translates into a superior customer experience.

This also makes Baharampur amongst the few cities in India to have an integrated dual band 4G network.
