New Delhi: The Centre has ordered scrutiny into the accounts of education-technology company Byju’s, Bloomberg reported.

The company is already facing a tough situation following the resignation of its auditor and three board members in June.

According to the report, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has ordered a report in six weeks.

The report stated that the examination of the books includes an internal assessment of the company’s current situation.

Based on the findings of the inspection, the government will decide if the matter needs to be escalated to the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, added the report.
