Fuel prices raised once again
New Delhi/UNI: The prices of petrol and diesel once again rose on Tuesday after remaining stable for three straight days.
Barring the national capital, the price of diesel has reached historically high levels in other metropolitan cities.
According to the country's biggest oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation(OIC), in Delhi, the price of petrol rose by 35 paise and reached Rs 87.30 per liter. In Mumbai the price of petrol rose by 34 paise and reached Rs 93.83 per liter, whereas in Kolkata it rose by 33 paise and reached Rs 88.63 per liter.
In Chennai the price of petrol rose by 31 paise and reached Rs 89.70 per liter. This is the first time that the price of petrol has reached Rs 93 and 89 in Mumbai and Chennai respectively.
The price of diesel in Delhi rose by 35 paise and reached Rs 77.48 per liter, which is a record rise since July 30, 2020.
The price of diesel in Mumbai has risen by 37 paise and reached Rs 84. 36 per liter, in Chennai by 33 paise to Rs 82.66 per liter and in Kolkata by 35 paise to Rs 81.06 per liter.
