Gionee targets to increase its product sales to 12% in 2017

Guwahati, Feb 4 (IBNS): Leading global smartphone brand Gionee has targeted to increase the products sales in 2017 to 12% in India.

The smartphone company has set to increase its products sales from 6% in previous year to achieve the double digit mark in this year.

During a press conference held in Guwahati on Saturday, the Regional Director (North East) of Gionee Hardeep Singh Johar said that, Gionee has been predominantly increasing customer base in the last 12 months in the North Eastern region with a clear focus on its distribution network which has been for the brand’s growth.

“The company has recently clocked 1.25 crore customers across the country. Gionee has seen a positive consumer response from the north eastern region and will look to capitalize on the same in this year with aggressive marketing strategy in the region,” Johar said.

The top official of Gionee further said that, the company has managed to expand its footprint in the region with over 2000 retail outlets and 30 exclusive service centers.

“We have received an overwhelming response from the region market in terms of our largest selling products. We are committed to ensure a customer gets a 360 degree experience with product, retail and customer service,” Hardeep Singh Johar said.

The official further said that, the company had faced problems for its product sales in November last following demonetization, but sales had gradually grow up in past two months.
