Havells announces appointment of an independent director to board

New Delhi, Oct 18 (IBNS): Havells India Limited on Tuesday announced the induction of Vellayan Subbiah as the new member to its Board.

Vellayan is the Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited.

Vellayan holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Madras and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, USA.

He has over 21 years of experience in the varied fields of technology, projects and financial services.

Commenting on the appointment, Anil Rai Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Havells India Limited said, "I am pleased with the induction of Mr. Vellayan to the Havells Board. We appreciate his consent to serve as an independent director and look forward to benefitting from his business acumen and counsel.”
