Honda Cars India Ltd. clocks 18% sales growth in October

New Delhi, Nov 1 (IBNS): Premium car manufacturer Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) on Saturday said it has registered monthly domestic sales of 13,242 units in October 2014, witnessing a growth of 18 percent.


The company sold 11,214 units in the corresponding month last year.

The company also achieved the milestone of crossing 1 lac units in the current financial year where it registered an overall growth of 43  percent during the period April – October 2014 with 1,01,442 units as against 70,831 units during the corresponding period last year.

Expressing delight at achieving 1 lac unit sales Jnaneswar Sen, Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “ We have clocked excellent sales during the year so far where all our products have received tremendous response.” He further added, “Starting November, the Tapukara plant will start operations in the second shift, thereby, ensuring better availability of the Honda City. This will also see full capacity utilization of Tapukara plant.”

HCIL also exported a total volume of 357 units during October 2014.
