IDBI Bank awarded ISO Certification
Mumbai, June 11 (IBNS): IDBI Bank has successfully attained the International Organization for Standardization Certification (ISO 27001:2013).
IDBI Bank is one of the few public sector banks to upgrade to the latest ISO standard in Information Security i.e. ISO27001:2013.
The certification means that IDBI Bank’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) is compliant with the latest best practices, controls and industry standards.
The ISO 27001:2013, the most stringent certification for information security controls, guarantees that ample information security controls and other forms of risk treatment are in place to prevent and defend against potential cyber threats.
Speaking on the occasion, M. S. Raghavan, CMD, IDBI Bank Ltd., commented, “Customers especially are looking for increased assurances over the high volumes of data they are entrusting to us and other partners. We are proud to have achieved this independent certification, as it demonstrates our level of commitment to implementing the strict security controls, and the emphasis we place on the confidentiality and security of our customers’ electronic data. The achievement of obtaining this prestigious certification means that not only are we compliant with the stringent and global Information Security standards laid out in the certification, but we have also raised our Information Security Management System to the highest level."
