Indian benchmark indices close lower ahead of RBI Monetary Policy meeting on Wednesday

Mumbai, Dec 5 (IBNS): The Indian market closed lower on Tuesday as investors chose remain cautious before the Reserve Bank's fifth monetary policy meeting for the financial year 2017-18 scheduled for Wednesday.

BSE Sensex was down 67.28 points at 32,802.44 and NSE Nifty was down 9.50 points at 10,118.30.

Top gainers on Tuesday included Bajaj Finance, Yes Bank, SBI, Reliance, Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel while Wipro, Hero Motocorp, Tata Steel, ONGC, NTPC, Dr Reddys Labs and UPL declined.
