Indian market closes flat on Tuesday

Mumbai, May 8 (IBNS): The Indian market closed flat on Tuesday, with BSE Sensex up 8.18 points at 35216.32 and NSE Nifty cup 2.30 points at 10717.80.

Top gainers on included ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, HPCL, Eicher Motors, BPCL, Bharti Airtel and Power Grid Corp while M&M, IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank, Idea Cellular, L&T, Infosys and Bajaj Finance were some of the stocks that reported loss.

Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki India, in a release, said that  it will undertake a Service Campaign for new Swift and Baleno models to inspect for a possible fault in the brake vacuum hose.

Around 52,686 new Swift and Baleno vehicles manufactured between 1st December 2017 and 16th March 2018 will be covered in this campaign, the company said in its release.

Starting 14th May 2018, owners of the vehicles included in this service campaign will be contacted by dealers for inspection and replacement of the faulty part.

The inspection and replacement will be done free of cost for the customer, the company said.
