Indian Market closing bell: Sensex jumps up 742.06 pts

The BSE Sensex on Wednesday registered huge gains of 742.06 pts to close high at 65,675.93 on strong global cues.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 231.90 pts at 19,675.45.

The Sensex opened higher at 65,461.54, surging 524 pts. Throughout the session it remained in green. As it spurted 814 pts at 65,747.65, days high, before closing at 65,675.93, advancing 742.06 pts from its previous close.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 19,494.40 and 19,414.40 pts respectively.

The stocks include Realty, IT, Technology and Auto stocks lifted the market.

Realty was a star gainer, up by 2.97 pc followed by IT by 2.29 pc, Technology by 2.12 pc and Auto by 1.65 pc.

The scrips that pushed the market up were Tech Mahindra by 3.83 pc to Rs 1174.60, Tata Motors by 2.78 pc to Rs 671.25, Infosys by 2.75 pc to Rs 1412 and Tata Steel by 2.60 pc to Rs 124.10.

While, the scrips that were fell as Bajaj finance by 2.02 pc to Rs 7211, Powergrid by 0.99 pc to Rs 210.20 and IndusInd Bank by 0.97 pc to Rs 1495.40.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.91 pc and Small Cap by 1.13 pc.

In 30 scrips, 27 advanced while 3 declined.

The Asian Market was seen positive, as Nikkei went up by 2.46 pc, Strait Times by 0.88 pc, Hang Seng by 3.77 pc.
