Indian market posts gains for fourth consecutive session on Tuesday

Mumbai, Apr 10 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Tuesday, its fourth positive session in row, with BSE Sensex up 91.71 points at 33,880.25 and NSE Nifty up 22.90 points at 10,402.30.

Top gainers on Tuesday included Axis Bank, Hindalco, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, Cola India and Adani Ports while Bajaj Finserv, Hero Motocorp, Tata Motors, Tata Motors (D), Idea Cellular, HDFC Bank and M&M were some of the stocks that declined.

Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday that as per the decision of GST Council, e-Way Bill system for all inter-State movement of goods has been rolled-out from April 1 2018.

E-way Bill system for Intra-State movement of goods in the State of Karnataka is also operational from the said date.

The release said that e-Way Bill system for Intra-State movement of goods will be implemented from April 15, 2018 in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
