Indian Market: Sensex hits fresh record at 65,503.85 pts
Mumbai: The BSE Sensex remained on top for the fifth consecutive session on Tuesday, as it zoomed up 298 pts to open at 65,503.85 on the strength of Consumer Durable, Health Care and IT stocks.
The Nifty too rose 31.55 pts at 19,354.10.
The Mid-cap moved up 0.03 pc and Small-cap by 0.12 pc.
In 30 scrips, 21 advanced while 9 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 6.66 pc to Rs 7823.70, Bajaj Finserv by 3.88 pc to Rs 1600.45, Titan by 1.26 pc to Rs 3076.05 and Wipro by 1.29 pc to Rs 396.65.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 1.97 pc to Rs 861.70, Reliance Industries by 1.23 pc to Rs 2582.95, NTPC by 0.78 pc to Rs 189.55 and Utilities by 0.59 pc to Rs 8413.
