Indian market: Sensex rallied by 325 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex continued to rise for the fourth consecutive session on Tuesday, as it spurted by 325 pts at 38,507.61on brisk buying in FMCG, Finance, Bankex and Metal stocks amid positive Asian Market.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 81.90 pts to 11,352.05.

The sectoral indices include , Finance, FMCG, Bankex and Metal stocks kept the market firm today.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 38,550.74 and 38,350.98 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 11,373.60 and 11,320.05 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.48 pc and Small Cap by 0.75 pc.

In 30 scrips, 25 advanced 4 declined and one was unchanged.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 3.65 pc to Rs 425.10, ITC by 3.14 pc to Rs 205.15, Asian Paints by 2.73 pc to Rs 1831.95, HDFC by 2.30 pc to Rs 1840 and Axis Bank by 2.26 pc to Rs 440.70.

The losers were Titan by 3.71 pc to Rs 1066.65, M& M by 0.93 pc to Rs 623.30, Sun Pharma by 0.51 pc to Rs 540.95 and Bharti Airtel by 0.45 pc to Rs 555.85.
