Indian Market: Sensex spurts over 1800 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday posted a massive gain over 1800 pts till noon after the announcement of Union Budget for 2021-22 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament.

The Sensex which was at 46,428.36 pts up by 542 pts in early trade, took long leap to touch 48k to 48,091.89 pts, advancing 1806.12 pts till noon trade.

Even, the Nifty of National Stock Exchange too, surged 539 pts to 14,174.25 pts.
All sectoral indices were seen in green.

The Nifty too, edged up by 144.30 pts to 13,778.90.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 46,881.35 and 46,433.65 pts, respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 13,793.75 and 13,661.75, respectively.

Announcing her third Union Budget, she tried to boost the Auto, Health Care, Infrastructure and Agriculture sector so the equity market zoomed up.

Seeing sectoral indices, the Bankex Stocks shot up more than 7 per cent, followed by Finance by 6 pc and Auto by 4 pc.

In scrips, IndusInd Bank by 11.57 pc to 944.20, followed by ICICI Bank by 10.86 pc to 595.30, SBI by 8.65 pc to Rs 306.45 and Ultracemco by 7.21 pc to Rs 5709.

The Mid Cap rose by 2.29 pc and Small Cap by 1.43 pc.

In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
