Indian Market: Sensex tumbles down by 362.92

Mumbai, May 4 (UNI) The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday dropped by 362.92 points to settle at 38,600.34 as selling was seen across the board and US President Donald Trump unexpectedly ratcheted up trade tensions between the world's largest economies by vowing to hike tariffs on Chinese goods by this week.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 114 points at 11,598.25.

The Sensex registered the day's high and low at 38,719.33 and 38,509.79 points respectively.

The Nifty registered day's high and low at 11,632.55 and 11,571.35 points, respectively.
