Indian Market: Sensex up 282.88 pts

The BSE Sensex on Friday advanced further by 282.88 pts to close at 64,363.78 following gains in Titan, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and JSW Steel stocks amidst. positive Asian Market.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 97.35 pts at 19,230.60.

In opening session, the BSE Sensex rallied 364 pts. During the session, it was spurted 455 pts at 64,535.19, days high, before closing at 64,363.78, surging 282.88 pts from its previous close.

The stocks that kept the market strong were Realty by 2.64 pc, followed by Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services by 1.15 pc, Consumer Durable by 1.44 pc and Oil and Gas by 0.94 pc.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.71 pc and Small Cap by 0.94 pc.

In 30 scrips, 17 advanced while 13 declined.

The gainers were Titan by 2.22 pc to Rs 3272.50, Tech Mahindra by 1.62 pc to Rs 1134, Tata Motors by 1.59 pc to Rs 646.95, JSW Steel by 1.43 pc to Rs 744 and ICICI Bank by 1.39 pc to Rs 932.

The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.90 pc to Rs 1530, IndusInd Bank by 0.76 pc to Rs 1449.95, Nestle India Ltd by 0.73 pc to Rs 23,936.60 and Bajaj finance by 0.62 pc to Rs 7406.75.

Asian Market was seen strong as Nikkei was up by 1.09 pc, Strait Times by 1.95 pc, Hang Seng by 2.45 pc and Kospi by 1.06 pc.
