Indian markets close positive on Wednesday

Mumbai, Nov 23 (IBNS): NSE Nifty managed to hold the 8000 level for the second consecutive session on Wednesday and gained 31 points to close at 8033.30.

BSE Sensex gained 91.03 points to close at 26051.81.

The expiry of November futures and options contracts on Thursday is likely to enhance volatility in trading, media quoting experts said.

Key stocks that gained on Wednesday were Lupin, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, NTPC, and L&T while some of the key stocks that declined were M&M, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Power Grid and HDFC Bank.
