Indian Rupee ends strong at 74.04 against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee rallied for the third straight session on Monday, as it advanced by 16 paise to close at 74.04 against the US dollar on brisk selling of the latter by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that rallied by 26 paise to 73.94 against the greenback in opening trade, declined slightly from opening level but ended positive only at 74.04, up by 16 paise as compared to its previous close.
With this, the Rupee has rallied by 71 paise in three sessions.
The Rupee edged up owing to the weak US dollar against other world currencies amid a robust stock market, dealers added.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.10 and 73.89 respectively, he added.
