Indian Rupee ends up by 8 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday gained by eight paise to 70.83 on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

In opening trade, the local unit rose by two paise to 70.89.Finally, it closed high at 70.83, advancing by eight paise as compared to its last close.


The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 70.90 and 70.74 respectively.


The Rupee remained firm for the sixth day today on weak dollar against other world currencies along with rebounding stock market, they added.
