Indian Rupee up 30 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee remained firm for the third straight session as on Wednesday it advanced 30 paise to close at 74.35 against the greenback on brisk selling of US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The domestic unit that went up by 14 paise to 74.51 in opening trade, surged further and finished at 74.35, edged up by 30 paise as compared to its previous close.
The local unit registered days high and low at 74.55 and 74.30 respectively.
The Rupee was seen robust owing to weak dollar against other world currencies amid strong equity market, dealers added.
With this, the Rupee has spurted 66 paise in three sessions.
